Accurate load planning is the foundation of safe, legal, and efficient heavy haulage. Through ongoing discussions with HeavyGoods, we are working towards offering our clients access to one of the world’s most advanced transport planning and simulation platforms for abnormal and heavy loads. Developed in Germany and originating from a spin-off of the renowned Fraunhofer IVI, HeavyGoods combines deep engineering expertise with powerful software tools used globally by transport operators, escorts, and road planners. The platform enables detailed modelling of complex multi-axle configurations, simulation of steering behaviour and swept paths, axle load verification, and early route feasibility assessment. In parallel, we are engaging with both the software provider and relevant local stakeholders to pursue formal recognition of the software outputs for route planning and permit application purposes, while also finalising negotiated subscription packages tailored specifically for our customers. The result is a practical, internationally proven planning tool that supports safer operations, fewer permit complications, and greater confidence on every move.
